The Duty of Care (Section 34 of the EPA 1990) came into force on 1st April 1992. The duty applies to everybody who has control of waste at any stage from creating to final disposal. The duty requires all persons to table responsible steps to prevent illegal disposal and management of waste.

In order to help you comply with your Duty of Care, we provide you with a Waste Transfer Note which details your site, container and waste type, date of collection and where it was taken to.
