Bucks Recycling are a local, established business that believes in supporting and giving back to our local community. Bucks Recycling are often involved in community support projects and offer help to local schools, charities, and nursing homes. We often post about these on our social media channels and blog.

Here are a couple of our favourite projects.

Abbeyfield Haddenham Society Care Home

Rodney Lovell from Landmark Garden & Design designed a new garden for the residents of Abbeyfield Care Home to enjoy and contacted Bucks Recycling for their support.

Everyone involved in this project gave up their time and services free of charge to give the staff, residents, and visitors of the Care Home a beautiful outdoor space to enjoy. Bucks Recycling provided skips for the project and our Director Francesca Murray-Smith spent a morning helping move stones and soil and create the stone pattern within the flower bed. Read more.

Kids Clean Britain

We were contacted by Lola’s mother for help with Lola’s idea of ‘Kids Clean Britain’.

Lola was tired of seeing all the litter in her local town of Wendover and decided to do something about it. Lola and her mum carefully planned and promoted the day for children of the town (and surrounding towns) to go litter picking with an adult in their local area.

They collected and bagged litter in the town centre, that was collected by Phil, a Bucks Recycling driver.

Lola’s mother contacted Bucks Recycling for help not only because we are a respected and well known business within the community, but because of our promise to recycle and divert waste from landfill.

Tesco also supported this cause by giving a free ice lolly to everyone who brought a bag full of litter back. It was a lovely day and they hope to grow the event in the next few years. We’ll certainly be supporting again next year! Read more.
